Devy
Wolff was born in Bucharest, Romania on June 10th, 1945. He studied
fine arts at Creation House and art history at Popular Academy of Art
in Bucharest between 1960 and 1965. At the time assisted for large art
mural project. Moved
to Israel in 1965 where he worked on architecture models, graphic design,
and built sets for Habina National Theater in Tel Aviv and movie productions.
In 1968, Devy moved to New York City and attended The Art Students League
of NY painting class taught by Will Barnett. From 1971 to 1982, he collaborated
and assisted the Romanian born artist, Mihai Popa in NYC, in developing
conceptual integral art that resulted in creating models of space cities,
a floating ocean-environment for humans, and earth base Megalopolis:
city of the future, as well creating functional art design and sculptures
in wood and metal.
